Fast road or track day car: SFL 91K
Starting life as a superb impact bumper model, much time and money has been lavished on this vehicle to both backdate and transform it to its present fast road/track setup with mild RS styling cues.
Suspension uses the later SC alloy cross beam and rear arms, in conjunction with all new Bilstein shocks & 21 mm Elephant hollow torsion bars.
The geometry was then set by Porsche guru Crispin Manners of Newton Poppleford - The result is superb!
Wheels are genuine 7 & 8" Fuchs alloys, shod with a good set of Toyo 888 tyres. The interior is a lightweight setup from Apelco (U.S) and features new harness belts, Sparco seats and wiring.
The all important engine is a 3.0 unit, fitted with triple Webers and new MSD ignition system - A new Setrab remote oil cooler guarantees cool running.
The cars 915 transmission was professionally overhauled just 3,000 miles ago and works as new. The entire braking system has also been overhauled and features stainless hoses, new copper hard lines and race pads etc...
The list of work and new parts is endless, but hopefully the above gives an idea of the time & money invested. In summary, a great fast road vehicle and track day machine with the benefit of retro styling!
